Here’s a little insight about the winners of this year’s “top move makers” in the Christian Gospel music space.
1. Nathaniel Bassey
Pst. Nathaniel Bassey has released quite a lot of songs with many still trending on various gospel charts. He is popular for singing worship songs; his all-time famous songs are “you are God,” “Book of life,” “I have no other God,” and more. He got the highest votes in our poll for the best gospel musician in Nigerian.
2. Mercy Chinwo
After she won the Nigerian Idol Season 2 in 2012, Mercy Chinwo pushed further and is now among the most popular gospel artists in Nigerian. Her hit songs, “Excess love,” and “Chinedum,” are still constantly played in many Christian homes today. Chinwo also released some new songs in 2019 and they’re also inspirational.
3. Eben
The award-winning singer, Eben is undoubtedly one of the best gospel artists in Nigeria. He has so many hit songs, starting from You are God, Victory, All the Way, and lots more. In 2019, Eben sang “Shephard of my soul,” a very inspirational Christian song.
4. Joe Praize
Just like the name, Joe mostly sings Christian hip-pop/danceable songs. So far in his career, Joe Praize has sung over 25 songs and many of them are still rocking the air in 2019. “Unchangeable God” is one of his most popular singles; however, he has released more hit songs.
5. Frank Richboy
Frank Edwards, popularly known as Frank Richboy is one the most popular Nigerian gospel artist of all time. While he doesn’t release new songs more often than before, most of his old songs are still enjoyable even now. Edwards has won several international and local awards, as well as released more than 4 albums. He’s a multi-award winning gospel singer.
6. Ada
“You’re able Jesus” is one of the best songs we have got from Ada. Although she has released new songs after this, a lot of her fans still insist the “You’re able Jesus” is their favorite. Ada was voted among the top Nigerian gospel artists of 2019.
7. Dustin Oyekan
Dustin Oyekan is a fast-rising gospel artist in Nigerian. The singer received a lot of votes to be in the 7th spot in this listing. Oyekan is the convener of Code Red Worship Experience and is nicknamed “The Eagle.” Also, Dustin is multitalented, he can play various instruments, and he’s also a producer/songwriter
